Seniors
Have you ever wondered about the significance of seniors in your school's yearbook? Or the importance of senior portraits? Or why it is recommended to have professional photographs taken?
As an underclassman, I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the vibrant, full-color photographs featured in the senior section of the yearbook, which was a notable improvement from the black and white pictures taken by the school. Each individual's unique qualities fascinated me, and I particularly admired their stylish outfits, diverse settings, and poses. I used to envision what my own senior photos would be like - the attire I would wear, how I would style my hair, or where I would choose to have them taken. However, I didn't truly recognize the significance of senior pictures at that time. I simply viewed them as enjoyable to look at and as something every senior did. Reflecting back on my own senior photo session, I now fully grasp that having professional senior pictures taken encompasses far more than just the clothing, hairstyle, joyful poses, or location.
So, if you have ever pondered the importance of senior portraits, here is your answer:
1. It is a celebration of your achievements and individuality.
2. It is a reward for your hard work and dedication.
3. It is a timeless capture of this significant phase in your life.
As a senior, it is natural to feel apprehensive about being in front of the camera. You likely desire your photos to be "perfect." The good news is that your photos will always be perfect if they authentically capture who you are in this pivotal moment. Remember, being yourself is always enough, even when you are the subject of the photograph.
